Research interests:

Marina Elias Andreu is an associate professor at the Department of Sociology of the University of Barcelona specialized in sociology of education. Her research focuses on education inequalities in the education field. This includes analysis on transitions and trajectories of students to post-compulsory education, students’ profiles in terms of motivations, strategies to study, engagement through inequalities as social background, ethnic differentiation, gender, and other life conditions. Her research projects have permitted the development of policy recommendations and orientations to secondary education and higher education institutions.
