Javier Vergel Faro

Javier Vergel Faro, Industrial Design Engineer and Master in Urban Design, is since September 2019 a Sociology Phd student and researcher at the University of Barcelona. His work is being developed within de Research Project: Public Space, Creative participation and civic mémory, co-directed by the Drs. Antoni Remesar and Sergi Valera. The starting point os the research is vocationally interdisciplinary and tries to make converge Urban Design, civic participation, urban governance, social movements and organized society in order to understand the value of the civic society in the urban transformation, wich limits have to face and how they can be overcomed. Already as a Master Student, and currently as a Research, Javier collaborate with thee Research Group Cr-Polis in the Project: Fem la memoria del Bon Pastor. A bottom-up participative Project which seeks to recover the civic memory of the people of the neighbourhood trough the intervention on public space.
